Georges Meunier French 1869-1942Georges Meunier was an accomplished Beaux-Arts trained painter and decorative artist working under Jules Cheret at the Chaix printing house in Paris. He designed at least 56 posters that are known to have survived. He is a great posterist who produced spectacular images for such diverse subjects as Loie Fuller, the experimental dancer of light and diaphanous gowns, and promoting products such as beef consomme.No images by Georges Meunier at present
